I use dance to make sense of the world. When I know things with my body they become real to me in a way that theoretical thoughts and words are not. The question is not do I like AI or will I use AI in my life. The question is what kind of relationship will I let it have with my being? How much choice do I get? Are we still dancing?
Shapes in this image were generated using AI.
Dancers: Laura Cannon and Chat GPT
Music by Chopper with vocals by Jana Crenshaw
borrowing “Skylark” by Johnny Mercer and Hoagy Carmichael
What state are we in when we are sharing the same physical space but existing, in that moment, in separate realities? What is the act of watching someone who is physically with you and experiencing a separate reality at the same time? What responsibilities do we have to each other when we are simultaneously together and not together?
